There’s a King in the House (for Men of God)

You are a King regardless of who acknowledges you as one.

1 Samuel 16:1-13 God instructed Samuel to anoint a new king, but the perception of what a king was didn’t measure up to what God saw in a king.

1 Samuel 16:1-3 16:1 And the LORD said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.

2 And Samuel said, How can I go? if Saul hear it, he will kill me. And the LORD said, Take an heifer with thee, and say, I am come to sacrifice to the LORD.

3 And call Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will shew thee what thou shalt do: and thou shalt anoint unto me him whom I name unto thee.

4 And Samuel did that which the LORD spake, and came to Bethlehem. And the elders of the town trembled at his coming, and said, Comest thou peaceably?

5 And he said, Peaceably: I am come to sacrifice unto the LORD: sanctify yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice. And he sanctified Jesse and his sons, and called them to the sacrifice.

6 And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the LORD’s anointed is before him.

7 But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.

8 Then Jesse called Abinadab, and made him pass before Samuel. And he said, Neither hath the LORD chosen this.

9 Then Jesse made Shammah to pass by. And he said, Neither hath the LORD chosen this.

10 Again, Jesse made seven of his sons to pass before Samuel. And Samuel said unto Jesse, The LORD hath not chosen these.

11 And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither.

12 And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.

13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward.

The God appointed leader was right in the midst of them and they didn’t even know it. Just because people don’t recognize you or your gifts doesn’t mean God hasn’t. There is an appointed time and place for everything; be patient and God will find you and put you on display at the appointed time. As long as you keep your heart focused on God and His will, you will be promoted; regardless of what others may see and say. Change your perception today; You are Royalty!

You are not a mere man.  You are totally different from the unsaved men on your jobs, or in your neighborhood, and possibly even the men in your family.  1 Peter 2:9 declares that those who are born-again are “a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people . . .” who was called out of darkness and into the marvelous light of God’s truth.  The truth about you is that YOU ARE A KING!

We know that “as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he . . .” (Proverbs 23:7).  This is why it is vitally important that you know and receive what the Word of God says about who you are.  Revelation 1:4-6 tells us that Jesus loved us, washed us from our sins with his blood, and made us “kings and priests unto God.”  WE ARE ROYALTY!

A King rules and reigns over his province; decreeing and arranging his kingdom according to his own good pleasure.  A King is not moved by circumstances; instead, circumstances move according to the King’s will.  God has bestowed this powerful position upon all born again believers who exercise the knowledge of His Word in their everyday lives.  YOU ARE A KING!

I want to encourage you to receive your kingship:  “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God” (Romans 8:14).  As men, we need to make a commitment to live and move in the Spirit, and not rely upon natural means (the flesh) to handle our business.

The Blessing in you is your Brand

The Servant's Quarters

We all have something we are graced/blessed to do. Most likely it is the thing that we’ve ignored or just do casually for personal enjoyment. It is possible that you have overcome some extremely difficult challenges, and now you can effectively serve someone else with your process of change.

Let’s define a few words for the sake of this post.
The meaning of the word blessed is to cause to prosper, to make happy, to bestow blessings onto; favored of God.
You have all of this in Christ (the anointed one with the anointing), which is in you. The ability to prosper is in you; the capability to be happy and release joy is in you; the unexplainable favor of God is in you. As much as we would like to believe the anointing or blessings fall from heaven; they are released from within you. (To whom God would make…
